Nike Free Flyknit first run
Nike announced two new shoes today at the launch at their Portland HQ - the Nike Free Flyknits and the Nike Free Hyperfeel.
I got to take them both for a brief spin on possible the best manicured football field I’ve ever set foot on.
These are the Free Flyknits - a combination of the Flyknit one-piece uppers and the sole system we’ve seen in the Free range.
It makes total sense for Nike to have combined these two flagship innovations into one super lightweight shoe that delivers a snug sock-like fit and a really comfy ride.
I like to judge running shoes by how much I notice they’re on my feet and although I only had these on for about 15 minutes and I was running on grass, I have to say they were remarkably comfortable.
I tried on with a sock on and one without - these can be worn without - and I have to say the foot with the sock on felt the most snug.
I can’t really give too much of an opinion having only worn them for a fleeting moment but my first impressions are that I’d definitely like to give them a proper workout. And that’s a good start.
